Time Zone Converter
Convert a date and time between any two time zones worldwide.
How the conversion works
The calculator reads the wall-clock date and time you entered as belonging to your chosen source time zone, determines that zone's exact UTC offset at that specific moment (correctly accounting for daylight saving time where it applies), converts to the underlying UTC instant, and then formats that same instant in your chosen target time zone.
Why time zone offsets aren't always whole hours
- Some regions use half-hour or 45-minute offsets from UTC rather than whole hours
- Daylight saving time shifts a region's offset by an hour for part of the year in countries that observe it
- Saudi Arabia and most of the Gulf do not observe daylight saving time, staying at a fixed UTC+3 year-round
Frequently asked questions
Does this account for daylight saving time?
Yes - the calculator determines each time zone's exact offset at your specific chosen date, so it automatically reflects daylight saving time where a region observes it, rather than using a single fixed offset year-round.
Why isn't my exact city in the list?
The list covers major cities representing each time zone region. If your city isn't listed, choose the nearest major city that shares the same time zone - for example, any Gulf city sharing Riyadh's fixed GMT+3 offset will convert identically.
Can I convert a time in the past or future?
Yes - pick any date and time, and the calculator will convert it correctly, including automatically applying the right daylight saving rules for that specific date if applicable.
