Salary Calculator
Convert your pay between hourly, daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly and annual amounts.
How the conversion works
This calculator first converts your pay into an annual figure based on your pay period, hours per week, days per week and weeks worked per year, then divides that annual amount back into every other pay period. This two-step approach keeps every figure consistent with each other, whatever period you started from.
Why the assumptions matter
- Someone working 37.5 hours a week will have a different hourly rate than someone working 40 hours, even at the same annual salary
- Unpaid time off means fewer than 52 paid weeks in the year
- Part-time schedules should adjust the days or hours per week fields accordingly
Frequently asked questions
Is this calculator giving me my take-home (net) pay?
No. This tool converts your gross pay between different time periods - it does not subtract taxes, social insurance, or other deductions, since those vary widely by country and individual circumstances.
What if I don't work a standard 40-hour week?
Adjust the "Hours per week" and "Days per week" fields to match your actual schedule - the hourly and daily figures will recalculate accordingly, while the annual, monthly and weekly figures stay accurate regardless of your schedule.
Why are there 52 weeks per year instead of 52.14?
A year has about 52.14 weeks on average, but almost all salary calculators use the simpler round number of 52 for ease of use. You can change the "Weeks per year" field if you want to account for unpaid leave or a more precise figure.
