Overtime Calculator (Saudi Labor Law)
Calculate your overtime pay with the 50% premium required by Article 107 of the Saudi Labor Law.
How overtime is calculated
Article 107 of the Saudi Labor Law requires employers to pay overtime at the normal hourly wage plus 50% of the basic wage. The hourly wage is derived from the basic monthly salary divided by 30 days, then by the regular daily working hours. Each overtime hour is therefore paid at 1.5 times the basic hourly wage.
What counts as overtime
- Any hours worked beyond the regular daily hours (normally 8 hours a day or 48 hours a week)
- All hours worked on weekly rest days and official holidays are treated as overtime
- During Ramadan, regular hours for Muslim employees are reduced to 6 per day (36 per week), so hours beyond that are overtime

Yes - hours worked on the weekly rest day or on official holidays are paid as overtime under Article 107, even if your total weekly hours are otherwise within the normal limit.
